WHAT CAR SEAT ADAPTER DO I NEED FOR MY CITY SELECT 2 STROLLER?

Baby Jogger just released its NEW 2021 City Select 2 stroller and it’s even better than the original! I can’t say enough about how much I loved my City Select. The ability to go from single, to double, and even TRIPLE stroller was game changing for me. When I was out with just my newborn, I’d store the stroller frame in my vehicle and just pop my car seat in for any adventure. I could then easily add the second seat when I needed it for my toddler and newborn. And off we went! There are some differences though between the 2021 version and the original and some changes in infant car seat compatibility for City Select 2. We will touch on both of those throughout this blog.

What’s to love about the City Select 2?

The City Select 2 is considered a modular unit, which means it can easily be modified to be a single, double or triple stroller by simply adding accessories like a toddler seat, infant car seat or glider board. It features leatherette accents on the telescoping handlebar, an extended UV 50+ canopy and under storage basket that holds up to 15lbs. Each toddler seat can accomodate a child up to 45lbs!

As compared to the original City Select, the new CS2 is lighter (roughly 6% lighter!) and 8% narrower! This makes loading/unloading much easier as well as navigating through stores, sidewalks, etc. It also features more space between both seats so there’s more leg room for the passenger. They even boast about being 20% smaller than the leading competition (versus the 2020 Uppababy Vista V2 – which we also love!).

Car seat adapter compatibility

Here’s where we get down to it. As always, when new strollers are released, infant car seat compatibility can change. So, here’s a quick breakdown (and chart courtesy of Baby Jogger) of which adapter is needed.

Yeah, we know it’s kind of a bummer that certain adapters are not available yet. They sometimes make slight modifications, especially when a new model comes out, and I’m guessing that’s the issue here. Or there might be delays due to Covid, etc. We’ll keep this blog updated as adapters become available. Sorry for the inconvenience.
